What you’ll learn and create

Starting from Ground Zero, our course empowers you with essential sewing skills through hands-on projects that build your confidence and expertise. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

Foundation projects

• Laundry Bag: Learn the basics of stitching and creating simple yet functional items.
• Cushion: Master techniques like sewing straight lines and buttonholes!
• Toilet Bag: Gain skills in more complex sewing methods, such as stitching in a zipper and bagging out

Dressmaking projects

You will make your first garment (usually lounge pants) and depending on timing you may start or make a second project.

Duration: 10 weeks

Session Length: Each session is 2 hours long, providing ample time for instruction and hands-on practice.

Class Size: Limited to 7 participants to ensure personalised attention and a supportive learning environment.

Equipment and Materials: All equipment, patterns, and materials are provided for weeks 1 – 5 and for your first clothes-making project we provide pattern and fabric (a second project may be achievable in which case you will need to supply own fabric, patterns will be provided for you ) all this is so you can focus entirely on learning and creating.
