Mixed Media Art Class for Teens

“Now you see me”
with resident artist Marina Nasso-Beard
These projects have their roots in making art with an environmentally considerate ethic.
I am excited to share my love for combining materials to create mixed media pieces. The classes are an opportunity to try something new, something challenging and meaningful which encourages creativity and is inclusive of all abilities and previous experience.
This project is on the theme of endangered animals. Over the course of the project you will make your own colour textile background using inks and dyes, use old book pages and magazine pages as well as your own drawings layered over fabric and other materials. Makers will choose from restricted colour palettes which relate to the biome of their chosen animal (e.g. forest, desert, ocean). You will choose from the endangered animals listed and make a unique piece of artwork!
