Our VE day celebratory message and project for you…
Hi its Jane here again I hope you are all ok and I’m sure you are all becoming very used to this LOCKDOWN LIFE, I must say for me I have definitely already felt like I’ve been on a roller-coaster in the past 7 weeks it seems only yesterday the 16th March when we made the decision to suspend our classes and each day we have been looking forward to our social sewing life again, but it seems we must wait a little longer to PROTECT ourselves and to keep our wonderful NHS functioning so we will all be able to come out of this safe and protected.
For me I have experienced first hand how challenging this is for those who have lost loved ones and who have others who are fighting for their lives. LETS STAY STRONG and keep our amazing KEY WORKERS at the forefront of our minds life might be about to change in a way we cannot understand but the most important thing is to keep your friends and family safe and well.
Who’s in need of a party? This week on the 8th February is VE day celebrating 75 years since the end of World War 2, we want to make the day even more special and celebratory by making it a day of fun and happiness for your family at HOME. So we will be out in our front gardens (balconies or window waving !) hosting a tea party to say thanks to everyone who 75 years ago sacrificed so much. And also to say thank you to the many who are fighting to keep us safe today.
If you want a fun day of crafting, cooking and making tune into @fabdabdo_ for VE Day printing and @splatttheatrecompany have a ration book cooking lesson (Yum we cannot wait) we have also updated our Make do and Mend bunting project which we collaborated with the Splatt Theatre Company with, so everyone can have a go kids and adults at making some fantastic bunting to decorate your house or garden for a tea party.

Because we have no idea when or how we we will be able to start running our classes we wanted to at least keep you inspired. If you are interested we will be sending a Newsletter out very soon so keep your eyes peeled.
And have a great VE party weekend Keep Safe #Stayhome.
